How we review casinos

We start with the licence, and it is not negotiable

Before anything else, a casino has to appear on the iGaming Ontario operator directory and publish a matching registered company in its own footer. If it fails that check it is not reviewed here, scored here or mentioned here. That single rule is why this site covers five casinos rather than fifty, and why the list will only change if the directory changes.

The five scoring pillars

Every casino is scored out of five on trust and licensing, game range and quality, payments and payout speed, mobile experience, and support. The pillars are weighted evenly because a fast payout matters little at a site whose support cannot answer a question, and a huge library matters little if withdrawals take a week. Scores are reviewed each month and move when our checks say they should.

What we check on payments

We read each operator's published cashier terms and record the methods supported in each direction, the stated minimum deposit, any fees, and the withdrawal window the casino commits to. We compare those windows across the five and note where one is clearly slower. We do not open accounts, deposit money or request payouts, so every timing on this site is the operator's own published figure and is labelled as such. We also check what verification documents are asked for, because the first withdrawal is always the slow one.

What we will not do

We do not publish bonus amounts or free spin counts, because Ontario's advertising standards prohibit promoting them to the general public. We do not accept payment for a ranking position. We do not write about casinos outside the regulated market, even to warn readers away from a named one. And we do not invent registration numbers or addresses: where a detail is not published by the operator, the field on our page stays empty.

The pillars in detail

Trust and licensing

The entry must appear on the iGaming Ontario operator directory, and the registered operator company on the site must match it. We also look at complaint handling, term clarity and how visible the responsible gambling tools are.

Games

Breadth and quality of the lobby: slots, table games, live dealer, jackpots, and how easy the site makes it to find what you want. Volume alone does not score well; a 3,000-title lobby with no filters is worse than a curated 1,000.

Payments

Methods supported, minimum deposit, withdrawal speed as published by the operator and compared across the five, fees, and how painful verification is. Interac performance matters most because most Ontario players use it.

Mobile

Whether the phone experience is complete: deposits, withdrawals, limits, history and live dealer streaming, not just a lobby that fits on a small screen.

Support

Which channels the operator publishes, the hours they cover and whether the help material answers verification and payout-timing questions accurately.

What removes a casino

Losing its place on the iGO directory removes a casino from this site immediately, whatever its score was. Blocked or repeatedly delayed withdrawals, misleading terms and advertising that breaches Ontario rules are also disqualifying.

How we pay for the site

Some links to casinos are affiliate links, marked as such and routed through a redirect. If you open an account through one, we may be paid a commission by the operator. That payment does not change a score, a ranking or a verdict — the scoring is done before any commercial discussion, and the same five casinos would be covered either way.
