Best licensed online casinos in Ontario
Reviewed by Danielle Tremblay, Editor
This is our main ranking of licensed online casinos in Ontario, and it contains five sites because five is the number we cover. Every casino here is registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and holds an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario, and each one links straight to its entry on the official iGO directory so you can confirm that for yourself before you deposit. The order reflects our published review criteria rather than any commercial arrangement. For each casino we confirm the operator entry on the iGO directory, match the registered company against the one named in the site's own terms, then read the terms, bonus rules, cashier details, help centre and responsible gambling pages in full. We do not open accounts or handle money. Scores are weighted towards the things that actually affect your money — licensing and complaint handling, payout speed, and how clearly the terms are written — rather than the size of a lobby. We re-check every entry against the iGO list each month, and a casino that leaves that list leaves this page the same day.

What separates the five
BetMGM is the most complete site, combining casino, poker and sports betting with the shortest published payout windows of the five. PlayOJO has the plainest bonus terms in the province and the largest slot catalogue. Jackpot City is the specialist choice for progressive jackpots and publishes its registration reference openly. LeoVegas is built for phones first and shows it. 888casino runs its own live dealer tables, which nobody else here does. Choose on those differences rather than on the overall score, because the gap between first and fifth is small.
How we weight the score
Trust and licensing carries the most weight, because a casino that pays slowly or argues about terms undoes everything else. Payments come next, judged on each operator's published withdrawal windows, fees and verification rules. Games, mobile and support follow. A large lobby with poor filtering scores worse than a smaller, well-organised one. Our full methodology, including the things that remove a casino from the site entirely, is set out on the how we review page.
What to check before you sign up
Search the brand in the iGO operator directory and match the registered operator company against the one in the casino's own footer. Complete identity verification straight after registering rather than waiting until your first withdrawal, because that is where almost all payout delays come from. Set a deposit limit on day one. Read the bonus terms for game weighting and expiry, not for the headline. Ontario rules mean you will not see specific bonus amounts advertised publicly, so the current offer is always on the casino's own site.
Playing within your limits
Everything on this page is aimed at adults aged 19 and over who treat gambling as entertainment. The casinos here are required to offer deposit limits, loss limits, session reminders, time-outs and self-exclusion, and all of those settings live in your account menu. If gambling has stopped being fun, ConnexOntario is free and confidential, 24 hours a day, on 1-866-531-2600.
