Self-exclusion and limits in Ontario
How self-exclusion works across registered Ontario operators, what it does and does not cover, and how to start.

Self-exclusion is a formal request to be barred from gambling for a set period. In Ontario it can be applied at the level of a single operator or across registered operators.
Single-operator exclusion
Every casino on this site lets you exclude from within your account. Choose the length, confirm, and the operator must block access and stop sending you marketing. Existing balances are returned according to the operator's published process.
Province-wide options
iGaming Ontario provides a route to self-exclude from operators contracted in the province, so the block is not limited to the one site where you happened to notice a problem. OLG runs its own separate programme for its channels. Using both gives the widest coverage.
What it does not do
Self-exclusion cannot reach sites outside the Ontario framework, which is one more reason to play only on registered ones. It also does not remove gambling apps from your phone or block payment methods; blocking software and bank-level gambling blocks are worth adding alongside it.
Coming back, or not
An exclusion period does not end automatically in every case — some require a reinstatement step and a cooling-off window. That friction is the point. If you are considering ending an exclusion, talk to ConnexOntario at 1-866-531-2600 first.
Smaller steps first
If full exclusion feels like too much, a deposit limit plus a two-week time-out is a real intervention and is easy to start today.
